My 2nd Style.com Lookbook

One of my other lookbooks on style.com got featured again! This time it's about menswear... :D (what a surprise...)

Hoping to Attempt

Finally! It's Spring 2009! How exciting. From the looks of it, there seems to be way more colors and menswear! YIPEE!

My attempt is to gave a review to each and every show (doubtful), however I'm willing to try.

Abaete

Known for its asymmetrical shapes... but with lots of vibrant colors and lots of unexpected surprises...
There's a some flirty, girly dresses that I loved...
                                                                                                                                        Laura Poretzky

Alexander Wang

The same infamous "girl-meets-boy", however w/ a whole lot more colors. Also, loves how he works his solid colors and his leather.
(side note: why r all the models so oily/sweaty?)

The last picture makes me so HAPPY... (it reminds me of those people at the olympics...)

OK... can't believe I'm saying this... but altho this collection is a bit different from the last one... but still... not THAT much different... I really want 2 c some changes in wang's amazing talent.

Daughters by Obedient Sons

I have never heard of this line before... but I am impressed... I liked a lot of the pieces...
At first I read the name of the line and I was like what?! But no I completely get it... TONS of girl-meets-boy. MENSWEAR!
My favorite part of this collecting is the perfect "graphic/written-on" blazers... I was waiting 4 those!

Possibly the only downer of this collection is that the men featured in the catwalk were WAY to skinny... twice I mistaken them for a girl (hats were covering the faces) ... then I say hair on the legs.

Boy by Band of Outsiders

Yep, the one where they have Kirsten Dunst modeling all the clothes. Don't know if I like it or not... but it makes complete sense, the clothes they have is totally her! (especially those sunglasses... GOD... I practically refuse to wear those sunglasses b/c she wears them... way too much... not that I don't like her or anything... it's just that she doesn't leave a very memorable impression on me... why am I talking about Kirsten Dunst?) I do have to say, the poses she chooses makes the shoot REALLY interesting...

Anyway, this (almost new) line features a lot of preppy, fun, menswear (very popular this season)... I do have to say I liked their clothes a lot... it was hard for me to choose exactly 3 looks I liked the most.

 Fashion is an Art Form.

Ehhh... been lazy... and school. Promised that I would update as many (of my own personal) reviews as I can of the Spring 2009 fashion shows.

First off...

3.1 Philip Lim

I wonder... why is that always so mature? (Not that I disapprove... sometimes I like to feel outside of my childish self) But his dresses really are adorable... There are some bits of serialism such as those swirls on those dresses... plays tricks with the eyes... I LOVE IT!

<-- This one... :)               And lastly but certainly not the least... the famous/talented Philip Lim!

 Threeasfour

Ehh... ok line... Some dresses I felt as if they were nightgowns... but I did pick out a few that I really liked.

BCBG Max Azria

Of course... never disappoints...
Beautiful... always elegant styles. Love the draping and the "comfortable-looking" feel...
Oh! And there's bold-colored dresses too! (which I forgot to put here... *smacks head*)

Charles Nolan

Gives off this boyish/tomboy look... not exactly girl-meets-boy... just boyish. (Although there are a few "flirty/girly" dresses)
Some buisness woman looks here. And yes... this is the one where they have the famous 41-year-old Olympic, silver-winning, Olympic swimmer and her kids. (Btw... I want legs like that when I'm 41... or Heidi Klum's... even though she's not 41... I'm just saying...)

Costello Taliapietra

Ooohhh... love the makeup here... all rocker-glam... extremely sexy
Very tough girl looks... colors are all very solid... and the order the looks go down the runway is very organized
I did a little color-coordination timeline: white--> pink--> teal--> blue/gray--> red--> tannish-brown?--> yellow w/ blue--> yellow--> yellow w/ green--> plaid (orange/white)--> white--> white w/ blue--> blue
And love the materials in these clothes--silk?
Overall love the entire collection and one day I'll steall all those gorgeous knee-length dresses.
